WE ARE BACK OPEN!

We are excited to finally be able to bring Canopy Market back from the 10th July.

TEMPORARILY LOCATED AT COAL DROPS YARD
As our home under the West Handyside Canopy is currently been used as a car park for key workers in the area, we will temporality be locating to the beautiful Coal Drops Yard, by Granary Square.

Initially the market will be a provisions and craft market only (no hot food), complimenting the amazing set of restaurants and bars in the yard, so you won’t be short of options for a drink or bite to remedy and feed the body and soul.

We will be trading on the same days (Friday – Sunday) – check our social for any changes and further updates!

MANY OF OUR TRADERS HAVE ONLINE DELIVERY SERVICES AND HAVE LAUNCHED SOME GREAT INITIATIVES TO SURVIVE THE DIFFICULT SITUATION WE ARE GOING THROUGH. PLEASE HELP SUPPORT THEM BY CONTINUING TO BUY DIRECT ONLINE TOO. CHECK OUR ‘TRADERS’ PAGE TO CLICK THROUGH TO THEIR INDIVIDUAL WEBSITES.

HISTORY

West Handyside Canopy:

Built in 1888, the West Handyside Canopy is a historic Victorian steel and glass covered market hall. It was once a bustling food hub where produce from across the UK was brought into London from countless railway carriages, before being distributed throughout the capital. It was also where Billingsgate Fish Market was relocated every Sunday when the City of London was closed.

Today Canopy Market is the revival of this historic marketplace bringing you fresh produce and supporting amazing independent food producers, crafts, original designer-makers and street food traders, every week, all under one roof.
